New Employees Present the Results of the Company Brochure Project

The Kanesa Group welcomed five new employees in fiscal year 2026 — one assigned to Michinoku Sake Journey and four to the Delivery Section of Gyohai.

After just under a month of new-employee training, they have started work at their assignments and are growing every day as working adults.

The Human Resources Section runs new-employee training on an ongoing basis, and since June it has held a weekly “Company Brochure Project” designed to deepen understanding of the company.

The intended readers of the brochure are high school students — the juniors of the future — and their parents.

To convey the appeal of Kanesa Fujiwaraya and its affiliate Gyohai in an accessible way, the new employees included descriptions of the work and interviews with staff, and produced it as a printed booklet.

The brochure’s slogan is “Smiles and Energy for Our ‘Okyaku’ (Customers).”

The slogan strongly reflects our management philosophy, “We Exist for Our Customers,” and expresses our mission to be useful to the shops we serve and to live up to the trust placed in us.

The reason it uses “Okyaku” rather than the more formal “Okyaku-sama” is the same as in the philosophy itself: we aim to be like companions who walk alongside our customers at the same eye level — neither looking down on them nor bowing beneath them — so we deliberately chose the plainer word.

The slogan also carries the new employees’ wish to deliver not only products and deliveries, but the bright, cheerful smiles and energy that come naturally to them.

In late July, the new employees presented their results to Vice President Mariko Sato and Gyohai President Shigemori Sato.

After the presentation, Vice President Mariko Sato expressed her surprise that the new employees had created the entire brochure with their own hands, and praised how polished the result was.

Gyohai President Shigemori Sato, referring to the slogan’s roots in our management philosophy, asked them to keep the spirit the company holds dear in mind as they continue their work.

We hope they will treasure what they learned and felt in this training, and shine in each of their assignments!

With five new colleagues on board, the Kanesa Group will work harder than ever this fiscal year.

If you see one of our new employees at a store or on a delivery, we would be grateful for a warm word of encouragement.

Alongside training and development like this, the Kanesa Group is also investing in the working environment.

The company covers 90% of the initial cost for new employees to obtain a semi-medium vehicle driver’s license, so that they can get licensed with peace of mind before joining — even while still in high school.

We are also expanding employee benefits, including the introduction of the Benefit One program, which offers discounts at cinemas and restaurants and free access to Netflix.

We will continue to build an environment where everyone who works at the Kanesa Group can find real fulfillment in their work.

Hello, this is the General Affairs Department. Since 2024, the Kanesa Group has been conducting training aimed at enhancing management skills and developing human capabilities for our management personnel. Each month, we alternated between lectures by President Masamune and specialist instructors, and after approximately one year, we have completed this training program this month. The final training session featured individual presentations on President Masamune’s assignment: “Will (what you want to become), Can (what you can become), Must (what you should become).” We asked participants to share their thoughts after completing the training! Fukushima Branch Deputy Manager, Mr. A Participating in the management training provided me with an opportunity to reconsider what management truly means from various perspectives. Through group discussions on each topic with fellow participants, each bringing their own thoughts and ideas, I gained valuable experience in understanding the importance and difficulty of organizing and communicating ideas. Additionally, I feel that one of the significant benefits of this management training was experiencing the atmosphere of our headquarters and having the opportunity to interact with colleagues from headquarters, various branches, and sales offices whom I rarely have the chance to meet. I would like to implement the fundamental management roles
